High school students from Uwharrie Ridge 6–12 visited Catawba College last week to explore the programs and campus life the college has to offer. Students were excited to learn that Catawba provides small class sizes similar to Uwharrie’s—perfect for a more personalized learning experience.
Catawba offers degrees in a wide range of fields, including Business, Nursing, and even Popular Music! 🎶 Admissions counselors also discussed the importance of applying early for FAFSA and shared information about the generous financial aid and scholarships available to incoming students.

The Sunshine Committee brought a little brightness to this rainy day with a refreshing Water Bar! Teachers and staff enjoyed flavored water packets, fresh fruit, and yummy snacks—a perfect midweek pick-me-up.
It was also a great reminder to “Just Keep Swimming” through the week. We are so thankful for our amazing teachers and staff and hope this little treat made their day a bit brighter!
