Get ready to board the Farmer Express!

You are invited to the Farmer Title 1 Math night on December 11th. Our Polar Express theme night will start with an activity in your child's classroom at 5:30pm. After the classroom activity you can head to the gym for a read aloud by Ms. Cagle and a sing along. Santa will also be here for pictures! We will finish at 7:00pm.

Students can wear pajamas to school on Thursday to get ready for their night on the Farmer Express. Students can keep their pajamas on all day and wear them to math night as well!

Congratulation to Brantlee Dorsey! He is the winner of the 2025 Farmer Spelling Bee. Our runners up were Ryan Hollingsworth and Josue Cedillos.

We had 6 finalists - Ryan Hollingsworth, Kohen Chriscoe, Cameron Parrish, Josue Cedillos and Ava Baucom. All of our finalists worked hard and did a great job.

Brantlee will go on to compete in the district-wide Spelling Bee in February.

As we approach the Thanksgiving holidays Farmer Elementary would like to give thanks for our wonderful teachers. Ms. Overton and Ms. Simpson, both 4th and 5th grade teachers, were recently awarded Bright Ideas grants and RCSS Endowment grants. Ms. Overton will use her grant to buy a Merge Cube and Ms. Simpson will use her grant to help build a science lab. Thank you to Randolph Electric Cooperative and the RCSS Endowment for sponsoring these grants.

Dr. Gainey, Superintendent of Randolph County Schools, came to Farmer yesterday to read to our first-grade classes. Mrs. Gribble's and Mrs. Markham's students really enjoyed hearing him read the book "The Leaf Thief" by Alice Hemming.
