Visitor Present at the Greensboro Sit Ins Shares Story

Barbara Small, a retired RCSS teacher and interventionist at Southmont Elementary School, was present at The Greensboro Sit-Ins. She shared her personal experiences with second grade and read the book "Freedom on the Menu."

As it turns out, her mother worked just three buildings down from Woolworths. It was such a moving moment to think about the fact that our kids can now trace this historical moment to a real person they see in our halls everyday.  History became a little more real and a little less distant.
